Elder
Rayford Earl Malone was born on July 21, 1971 in Fairfield
Texas. He was baptized in the Body of Christ at Fairfield
Baptist Church at the age of seven years old. Upon graduating
high school in 1989 he attended Sam Houston State University
on an athletic scholarship where he studied Psychology
and Philosophy. In his junior year he suffered a catastrophic
knee injury that took several years to heal.
On
his twenty-fifth birthday Elder Malone visited Greater
Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Huntsville Texas under
the leadership of Pastor Michael C. Davis. It was on
this day that he was spirit-filled and received the
Spirit of God in his life. One month later in the middle
of August Elder Malone was praying in his room and he
heard the voice of God commanding him to take up his
mantle and begin preaching. After discussing this with
Pastor Davis he was licensed and preached his first
sermon at Greater Zion on Oct. 13, 1996 and he has been
running for the Lord ever since.
Upon
advice from his pastor Elder Malone moved to Houston
Texas to further his education. Once in Houston he attended
the College of Biblical Studies for eighteen months.
During this time he attached himself to Abundant Life
Cathedral under the leadership of Pastor Ed Montgomery.
It was here that he began to see the difference between
being saved and living a Spirit-filled victorious life.
In
the winter of 1998 Elder Malone applied to Dallas Baptist
University to finish his Bachelors degree. In less than
eight months he graduated with a B.A.S. Degree with
Christian Ministry and Business. He is on schedule to
graduate with his Master's Degree from Dallas Baptist
University in Church Leadership with a special emphasis
in management in December of 2003. Upon Completion of
that degree it is his hope to continue his education
at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and to
obtain his PhD.
On
April 29, 2001 Elder Malone was ordained at Shiloh Missionary
Baptist Church under Pastor Stephen Richards of Oakwood,
Texas. In July of 2001 Elder Malone began attending
services at Praise Temple Full Gospel Baptist Church-West
under the leadership of Bishop Larry L. Brandon. It
was here that Elder Malone found a spiritual father
that he could align himself under and church that he
could grow in. During his time there Elder Malone has
been placed over the Ministers Alliance. He has also
helped pastors of all denominations to set up classes
or prepare curriculums that will benefit their particular
church bodies and try to stimulate Church growth.
Although
he was raised under a strict Baptist traditional system,
he escaped the limitations of tradition to widen his
spiritual parameters to reach people of varied backgrounds
and cultures. Elder Malone's ministry promotes reconciliation
and redemption in the church body. His goal is to cross
all denominational and social lines. Elder Malone believes
that through Jesus you can preach the unsaved unto salvation
and teach to the Saint to be equipped with spiritual
gifts and weapons to fight the Enemy and live a victorious
life. His intellectual, scriptural approach, and his
intense oratorical style, stimulates the intellect of
people on all levels of life. Elder Malone offers in
a strong statement that the only real choice to the
problems of the day is salvation through Jesus Christ.
