Roman
3:23 "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory
of God,"
Everyone
is a sinner - There are no exceptions to this fact. The word
"ALL" is an absolute. No one is excluded. This verse
seems to be an almost overlooked to the unconvicted sinner.
There seems to always be an excuse to its declaration - an
exception to the verse's statement. However God tell us simply
that no one is without sin.
Romans
5:8 "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in
that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
GOD
loved us, as sinners, so much that HE gave HIS son to die
for our sins. In the early Greek it is translated that "so
loved the world that God gave"
so we see a totally
different connotation of the verb usage and sentence structure
We see that God has taken the emphasis off Himself and put
it on the world. No other debt has been so completely paid
as the sin debt through the death of this CHRIST on the cross.
All the scriptures that declared GOD'S demand for man were
fulfilled (or filled full) in CHRIST'S Death.
Romans
5:12 "Therefore, just as through one man sin entered
into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread
to all men, because all sinned"
Death
means sure separation forever from GOD. Eternal Life comes
by trusting JESUS CHRIST. All without CHRIST are considered
spiritually dead. This does not overlook the fact of physical
life - as a matter of fact physical life is required in order
that the sinner might be saved
Romans
6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift
of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Have
you ever received a check for a day's work? Well simply put
as long as you sin your eternal check will have death in the
dollar column instead of life. So as long as you are in sin
you are paying for your own trip to hell. But as scripture
says if you accept the gift of God then you will have eternal
life.
Romans
10: 9-10 "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as
Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the
dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes,
resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses,
resulting in salvation."
The
instructions given here are profound in all of the Bible.
There has not been seen a more open invitation to the lost
than this invitation. It offers clear welcome to the place
of redemption and conversion. In verse ten is seen the two
fold response to GOD'S Grace raveled. The sinner under this
impetus is moved with an unseen hand to the supernatural work
of Bible salvation. To be born again, you must believe that
JESUS died for your sins, and declare that you accept HIM
as the LORD of your life.
Romans
10:13 for "whoever will call on the name of the Lord
will be saved" This is GOD'S promise to you that HE will
answer your prayer of confession and repentance and save you.
If
there could be anything done to gain Salvation it would no
longer be free. The Scripture states the fact thus in John
3:16: "For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only
begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life."
Romans 12:1-2 "Therefore I urge you, brethren, by
the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy
sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service
of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may
prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable
and perfect."
These
two verses are designed for the saint after they have come
to salvation and they are on the path to the Lord. Thes two
scriptures speak to the spiritual sanctification of the believer.
Your mindset must be changed and God wants to change it for
you.
